WEEK 2
The nights may be drawing in, and there was a definite chill in the air this week, but, after filling up on Penny's lemon and marrow cake, we had another great rehearsal session.
COFFEE NOTICES
We gave some more details about the performances that are now firming up (see Dates for the Diary at the end of this update).
As we're still settling into our new look COTH, here's also another quick reminder about our new email address and website:

THE SONGS
What's Up?
This week we spent some more time working on What's Up? by Four Non Blondes. We added in the 'ooh' section from the end of the song to the beginning before the first verse. Elena also added an additional chorus with a new harmony line to the end of the song. These updates have been added to the lyrics sheet and performance notes on our Lyric and Audio Library.
My Favourite Things
We started working on My Favourite Things from The Sound of Music. The musical score and the lyrics are available in the Lyric and Audio Library (note: lyrics must be printed Landscape).
Here is a a YouTube video of the version we are learning:
For this session, we focused on getting comfortable with the words and delivery of the song before we start introducing harmonies next week.

Dates for the diary
The information below will be added to our Calendar and details will be shared on our Performing pages as and when we know more.
SUNDAY 15 Sept: Jam in the Park - Beckenham Place Park.
Free DJ/music and open mic. This may be an opportunity to hand out some COTH leaflets and, if you're brave enough, get up and sing as part of the open mic session. Lizzy will be in touch to organise if anyone is interested.
SATURDAY 2 Nov: Ralph Perring Court, Beckenham, Bromley, Kent, BR3 3LX
We'll be returning to Ralph Perring Court, a retirement housing complex in Beckenham whose motto is 'Interesting people living life to the full'. The concert will start at 7pm but we'll share more details including rehearsal time and registration details asap.
FRIDAY 20 Dec: Stanley Halls Christmas concert
More details will be shared closer to the time but, like last year, we'll be singing at Stanley Halls again as part of their Christmas show.
